On 28 September 2005, a thread about a redesign of the US $10 bill was entered by user mikey-mop, asserting that he worked for the US Mint and was therefore, from his position of total knowledge, amused at the ignorance displayed by other users' comments: "I work for the U.S. Mint. So I am really getting a kick out of most of these replies. Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about. But trust me.... You don't. I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you dont know what you are talking about. This is how bad info gets passed around. If you dont know about the topic....Dont make yourself sound like you do. Cuz some Farkers belive anything they hear."

After a couple of initial responses, the comment was parodied 9 minutes and 28 seconds later by user Titinita, thus beginning an avalanche of similar parodies. Many got a kick out of these replies, and the form was immediately entered in Fark collective consciousness, and later spreading to have a huge negligible impact on the internet at large.
