1. ^(5/26/2017) There it is - the late Friday Trump-Russia revelation, three day weekend edition And what a dump it is: Washington Post presents yet another effort by Trump associates to conceal their contacts with Russia, act one of tonight's episode features Kushner, Flynn and Kislyak meeting at Trump Tower on December 1 or 2, 2017; according to US monitoring of Kislyak's communications with Moscow regarding the meeting, Kushner felt it necessary to continue communication with Russia, but knew it would be politically sensitive to meet publicly, so he suggested setting up a secure channel believing their pre-inauguration discussions would not be monitored if they used Russian diplomatic facilities in the US; a former senior intelligence official explains: Russian diplomats do have secure channels to Moscow, but for Kushner to request access to them "seems extremely naive or absolutely crazy"; although Russia has been known to feed false information as a way of sowing misinformation and confusion among US analysts, it's unclear what Kislyak would have had to gain by falsely characterizing his contacts with Kushner to Moscow, particularly at a time when the Kremlin still saw the prospect of dramatically improved relations with Trump; Act two features an anonymous letter the Post received the details of which have since been reviewed and confirmed by US intelligence officials; the letter described the Dec 1 or 2 meeting and the possibility of another meeting between a representative of Trump and a "Russian contact" in a third country whose name was not identified; the Post hints that the meeting in the letter could have been the one between Erik Prince, an informal adviser to the Trump transition team, and a representative of Putin who met in the Seychelles on nine days before inauguration day (Jan. 11, 2017)Template:DripTemplate:Wapolttr
